AlphaTech Inc. was established in 1974 under the name Industrial Precision of Asheville Inc. Since then, the company has grown to over 40 full-time employees. In 1999 the company changed its name to AlphaTech. ATI specializes in contract manufacturing, intricate tooling, stamping and small-scale automation. Much of its production work includes machining tight-tolerance parts for medical, instrumentation and fiber optic industries. The company often works with such materials as titanium, zirconium, monel, hastelloy C-276, tantalum and 300 series stainless steel.
