Daetwyler Industries

Daetwyler helped found the Apprenticeship 2000 program in 1996 with the goal to offer high school students opportunities in a variety of technical fields and employment after graduation. The Apprenticeship 2000 program is an 8,000-hour program that spans four years of training. Upon graduation, students earn a associate’s degree in Mechatronics and a Journeyman’s Certificate awarded by the state of North Carolina. Apprentices at Daetwyler are paid to attend class at Central Piedmont and are guaranteed a job after graduation.
